This will probably come as a big surprise to anyone who reads my blog or has met me but I am not a fan of Glenn Beck. I think it is important to look at issues from more than one side but he is out of his mind. People have told me that they think his show is an act and that he just says crazy things for the money ($23 million a year is nothing to sneeze at) but I don’t think that matters. Even if he doesn’t believe the nonsense he spews, his fans do.
That’s why I like http://www.stopbeck.com . This guy started a Twitter campaign to get sponsors to stop running ads during his show and a number have done just that. He lists current sponsors on the web site and I noticed www.petmeds.com was on the list so I emailed them. They responded:
I wonder how many other companies do this. We need to tell them that this is not acceptable. They can specify what shows they want to support. It really is too bad; I do need Frontline for my cat.
